Jenny and John were married in Detroit, Michigan in the Spring of 1939.
They were both first generation Americans, both born in the United States of
America of parents who emigrated to this country from Poland and the Ukraine in the early
years of the twentieth century in search of a new life. Theirs is the story of many such
working class people who helped build this country and struggled through hard work to
obtain a better, more joyous life for themselves and their children...a journey in search
of gifts so that they may, in turn, give gifts.Much of what I am today is because of the gifts my parents gave me. In the fall of 1998, I finally took action on an idea that had been stirring around inside me for several years...to create a business in memory of my parents and all they did for me. I called it "Jennyjohn Cards". To me, Christmas was always a huge birthday party, a time to celebrate birth and the gifts we've received by giving thanks, through gift giving to others...in hopes that we would remember to help others throughout the year. Since Christmas was always a joyous time as I grew up and continues to play an important part in my life today, I've chosen to use Christmas themes for these first designs. I hope you enjoy them.
